Calling All Automotive Designers:

Ready To Find-Out Who’s the Best Designer In The Motor City?!

The Second Annual Detroit Sketch-Up Competition Rolls-In Friday, October 14th, & We’re Putting The Best-of-the-Best Together For A Night of Networking & Fast-Paced Renderings To Benefit The At-Risk Students From DRIVE One!

What is The Detroit Sketch-Up?

Detroit Sketch-Up is a new initiative to help students that are interested in a career in automotive design, meet and learn from the professionals, all for a good cause.

This event will also serve as a fun social gathering where students, faculty, and professionals can network, learn from one another and even check out some cool cars and projects Drive One students have built.

The competition itself will put current and former Drive One students, as well as those from the College of Creative Studies and Lawrence Tech University, and several industry professionals against one another in a timed “sketch off”.  Three rounds, each lasting no more than 30 minutes and judged by everyone in attendance.

What Organizations Benefits From The Sketch-Up?

100% of the funds raised from ticket sales and total revenue for each event will go to providing needed supplies and financial support for the students at Drive One, an organization that provides vocational training to area students who need for hands-on learning is underserved.

Why This Event Matters?

Being that DRIVE One is a non-profit school, we are only able to provide this unique learning experience through grants and charitable donations from companies and individuals such as yourself.  But we know we can make an even bigger impact with more supporters.

Your donations, whether monetary or product, will help impact the lives of these at-risk students and the community. These proceeds will provide the necessary tools our Metro Detroit youth need to succeed, including (but not limited to):
•Updated Tools and Equipment for our Auto Tech, Machining, Welding, & Design Courses
•Funding for DRIVE One Programs, like Thursday Night School and Project 4Real
•Opportunities to compete across the Midwest with various student-built projects
